 01  How are we funded?

Our services are sustainably funded through a diverse range of sources, ensuring accessibility and support for individuals in various circumstances. The Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) stands as a vital pillar of our funding, enabling us to empower individuals with the resources they need to enhance their skills and achieve meaningful employment. Additionally, our commitment to holistic services is made possible through the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) SLS and HCBS DD Waivers, both administered by the Colorado Department of Healthcare and Financing. These waivers play a crucial role in funding our person-centered support, allowing us to create tailored plans that foster independence and quality of life for those with disabilities. In alignment with our dedication to inclusivity, we also offer the option of private pay, affording individuals and families the flexibility to access our services independently. Through this multi-faceted funding approach, we are proud to continue making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

02  How can you qualify for our services?

Qualifying for Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) services involves a thoughtful assessment of an individual's unique circumstances and goals. The DVR aims to support individuals with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment and increased independence. To be eligible, individuals typically need to have a documented disability that presents a barrier to employment. This disability could be physical, intellectual, sensory, or mental in nature. The DVR also considers factors such as the individual's readiness and ability to benefit from vocational rehabilitation services. The process involves an application, evaluation of medical and vocational information, and a collaborative development of an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE). This plan outlines the specific vocational goals and the services required to reach them. By tailoring assistance to each person's needs, the DVR strives to create opportunities for skill development, career advancement, and a more empowered future in the workforce.

Job coaching for individuals with disabilities is a personalized and invaluable support system designed to bridge the gap between their skills and the demands of the workplace. This tailored assistance involves a qualified job coach working closely with individuals to develop and enhance their job-related skills, build confidence, and ensure successful integration into the workforce. Job Coaches provide practical guidance in tasks like communication, time management, problem-solving, and adapting to new responsibilities. By fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere, job coaching empowers individuals to showcase their abilities and contribute meaningfully to their chosen professions.  04   I don't qualify for DVR services can I still get help from Tandem?

Yes! To ensure accessibility and flexibility in our service provisions, we offer private pay options alongside a sliding scale fee structure. Private pay allows individuals to access our services directly, independent of insurance or government funding, offering them greater control and privacy in their support. Simultaneously, our sliding scale fee system takes into account each client's financial circumstances, adjusting the cost of services based on their ability to pay. This approach enables us to offer equitable access to our services, ensuring that those with varying income levels can still receive the support they need, promoting inclusivity and making our services accessible to a broader range of individuals.
